Euroclass Statement

Euroclass is a harmonised EU standard BS EN 13501-1 that classifies products into one of seven reaction to fire classes. The specification ranges from A1 (which is non-combustible and does not contribute to the development of fire) down to F (which is unclassified). Additional sub-classifications are also identified from class A2 for smoke production (with s1 – indicating little or no smoke and s3 indicating substantial smoke) and also for flaming drops/particles (with d0 indicating none and d2 indicating substantial).

All of Gilberts louvre products are manufactured from either Aluminium or Galvanised steel. Both of these materials conform to Euroclass A1 non-combustible rating.
